Welcome to this Place.....

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house (earth) has many rooms (mansions); if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." ... Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.                   Jhn 14:1-4, 6 NIV

Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples. ... When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, ... Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." There was plenty of grass in that place…Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. Welcome to This Place…....

Let me begin with some background, the word of the testimony of God in my life and how I came to This Place.

I am blessed to have married the love of my life. We have four beautiful daughters whom I adore, three are married with children and my baby is in college.  My girls are evidence of God’s redemptive power in me.  

We raised our girls in a little town near Yosemite California, hotter than heck in the summer and definitely not my idea of a great place to raise kids however, God in his sovereignty brought us to that place and it was a wonderful place to raise our kids.

A few years ago after several job losses my husband and my finishing school to become a Physical Therapist we were called by God to leave everything we knew; our church, our house, my new job, the dream of building our dream home, family, friends, children, grandchildren….to move to “a place he had prepared for us” in Eugene Oregon.

Now the first place we landed was not my idea of a mansion, in fact it was rather run down, smelly and old.  God in his mercy however, allowed us to remodel this rental with our landlord footing the bill and we lived in that place for 4 years.

We had wonderful ministry from this house as I sat with God on the hillside. We loved that place but knew it was not our stopping place . God then picked us up and literally dropped us onto this place, a slice of heaven on earth; 5 acres in a little town outside Eugene Oregon on a river with a sandy beach, fruit orchard, huge grassy area, perfect yard….an amazing place.

The most amazing thing about this property though is its address.….we live on Place Rd. 

Very soon after we moved God asked that I “sit down in this place and feed the multitudes.  I argued with God that I am too old to begin this now however, God said I am not to send people away because it is late or because I am too old but said I am to sit down, give thanks and distribute what I have, as the disciples did so long ago in the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. 

So....I bid you welcome to This Place where you shall eat and be satisfied…..
